(SportsNetwork.com) - The St. Louis Blues will try to post consecutive wins for the first time in weeks when they visit the Arizona Coyotes for Tuesdays battle at Gila River Arena. The Blues last winning streak was a five-gamer from Dec. 6-16. St. Louis has gone 2-5-1 since then, but both of those victories have come over the clubs last four games. St. Louis, which is two points ahead of Winnipeg for the third and final automatic playoff bid in the Central Division, was able to halt a two-game slide in convincing fashion the last time out. The Blues recorded a 7-2 win Saturday in San Jose, scoring the games last five goal to skate away with two points. T.J. Oshie recorded his second career hat trick to fuel the rout of the Sharks. Oshie added an assist in the onslaught, which saw the Blues record a season- high in goals. Alexander Steen and Kevin Shattenkirk posted their own four- point performances with a goal and three assists apiece. Its nice to get them, its even better just to get the two points, said Oshie. Brian Elliott, making his second start since returning from a knee injury, made 18 saves for St. Louis, which had dropped five straight on the road coming in. The Blues, who are capping a four-game road trip tonight, are 10-9-2 as the guest this season. St. Louis will begin a seven-game homestand on Thursday, when it hosts a rematch with the Sharks. St. Louis will turn to Elliott again tonight. He is 4-2-0 with a 1.99 goals against average in six career games against the Coyotes. Arizona has played some of its best hockey of the season of late, winning four of its last five tilts. The lone loss of that stretch came in a 6-0 rout at Dallas on Wednesday, but the Coyotes rebounded with Saturdays 6-3 win over the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets. Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Sam Gagner and Martin Hanzal scored in the second period as Arizona came from behind to defeat Columbus. Hanzal added three assists, Gagner ended up scoring twice, while Tobias Rieder and Kyle Chipchura also lit the lamp for the Coyotes. Mike Smith backed up his offense with a 23-save victory. It was by far one of our best games of the year, Smith said. We were just swarming all over the ice. Saturdays tilt marked only the third time this season the Coyotes have scored at least six times (7-4 W in Edmonton on Oct. 15 and 6-5 W at Washington on Nov. 2). The rout of Columbus began a six-game stay on home ice for the Coyotes, who are just 8-8-3 as the host this season. Arizona will try to keep the offense coming tonight, but it hasnt had much success against the Blues in recent years. St. Louis has won three straight, six of seven and nine of the last 11 meetings overall and has claimed five in a row in the desert. Smith is 4-8-0 with a 3.42 GAA in 12 lifetime starts against the Blues. Fellow Coyotes goaltender Devan Dubnyk is 0-7-0 with a lofty 4.72 GAA when facing St. Louis. Cheap Yeezy 350 v2 2019 . In sunny and almost windless conditions, the Swede shot four consecutive birdies on the front nine on his way to a 68 and went 9 under for a one-shot lead over Englands Lee Slattery and two over Paraguays Farbrizio Zanotti (68). There were some nerves and there werent any birdies. The Canadian ended up posting a five-over 75 on the Pinehurst No. 2 course that left him 10 back of the lead. “I got off to a rough start,” DeLaet acknowledged after his round. “It might have been just a little bit of nerves. I wasnt hitting my driver great and then a couple of short-game miscues.” DeLaet started with bogeys on two of the first three holes, including a three-putt on the 12th hole from about 10 feet. Still, he didnt appear out of sorts on the course in the early going and after a bogey on the par-3 15th, he settled into a nice stretch, rolling off nine-straight pars. “I felt I got in a pretty good rhythm for the majority of the middle part of my round,” he stated. “I wasnt really able to make birdies, but I had a couple of tap-in pars that kept it stress free.” He stumbled in, however, making what he called disappointing bogeys on two of the last three holes. An errant tee shot on seven that landed in a bunker led to a bogey while on the last hole he was unable to get on the green in two. “It was disappointing to bogey seven and nine coming in because, if I was able to finish at three over, I would have been pretty happpy,” he said.dddddddddddd The stats show that DeLaet made 10 fairways – above average for the field – and 11 greens, also above the average. But on the greens, the putter didnt seem to be working. He used his flat stick 33 times, far too many, but easily understandable on Pinehursts difficult greens. “Its tough,” summed up DeLaet. “Its a tough round of golf. I felt like I handled it well. Unfortunately, I just didnt execute coming in.” DeLaets score came on a day when the field posted the lowest scoring average at a U.S. Open since 2003. The course average was 73.23 and there were more under par scores on Day One than in the opening rounds of the previous two years combined. But on a course that is playing this tough and with few birdie holes on the course, planning a comeback is not as easy. DeLaet understands that and will try to stay the course as he did in the first round. “Its just being patient,” he stated. “I was proud of myself for doing that all day even though its hard to aim a nine-iron 30 feet from the hole just trying to make four, but thats kind of what you have to do. Well see what happens, if I get a little behind the eight ball I might have to press. “Im not completely out of it. I know that a good round [Friday] will go a long way to getting back into it.” ' ' '
