Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - A rare Saturday matinee and a trip to American Airlines Center wasnt enough to slow down the best team in basketball. Three Warriors scored 20-plus points for the first time this season and Golden State extended its franchise-best win streak to 15 with a wire-to-wire 105-98 road victory over the Dallas Mavericks. Steph Curry scored a game-high 29 points, Klay Thompson had 25 and Draymond Green netted 20 for the Warriors, who last had three players drop 20 points or more on April 1, 2013, in a 122-120 win over the Mavs. Fifteen wins in a row, its hard to fathom, said Thompson. This is a special group. The Warriors improved to 20-2 on the season. They havent lost since Nov. 11. Monta Ellis led Dallas with 24 points and Dirk Nowitzki had 23. Richard Jefferson, in his first start of the season, added 13 points and 13 rebounds. I love Jefferson, I love the way he plays, offered Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle. He plays with a lot of force. The 3s were falling early for Golden State. Thompson hit a pair and Curry drained a stepback to help the Warriors to a 15-5 lead less than four minutes in. The lead kept growing, with Curry following his deep 3 with a no-look pass to Shaun Livingston for a layup that pushed the spread to 30-13. Curry put the finishing touches on a dominant first quarter with an acrobatic lefty layup in transition and a corner 3 with under a minute to play. His stepback 3-point try at the buzzer missed short, but he still dropped 13 and the Warriors led 39-18. Weve got to be all there from the very beginning until the very end, said Carlisle. The first quarter did us in. The lead grew to 28 before a mini rally late in the half had Dallas within 22, 66-44, at halftime. An 11-1 Dallas run made things interesting early in the third. Tyson Chandlers alley-oop from Ellis near the midpoint of the period had Dallas within 13 before a 3 1/2 minute scoring drought plagued the hosts. Green made five free throws and Curry got a runner to fall as Golden State restored its 20-point lead. The Warriors went cold late in the game, and Brandan Wright scored seven of Dallas points during a 11-0 run that made it 100-92. After Thompson made two free throws, Ellis hit a 3 and Dallas was within seven. But it was too little too late. Currys free throws with 39 seconds left proceeded a Jae Crowder missed 3-pointer, as the Warriors held on. PHILADELPHIA -- There are no secrets to Hunter Pences approach to hitting in crucial situations. His simple strategy worked again. Pence drove in all of San Franciscos runs with a double in the ninth and Madison Bumgarner pitched eight scoreless innings to lead the Giants to a 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night. "Just go up to compete, try to see the ball and hit the ball," Pence said. Bumgarner (12-7) gave up five hits while striking out six and walking none in a pitchers duel with A.J. Burnett. "It was good to get quick outs tonight," Bumgarner said. It was the sixth win in seven games for first-place San Francisco, which moved two games ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West. The Giants will look to sweep the four-game series on Thursday. One night after blowing just his third save in 26 chances, closer Jonathan Papelbon (2-2) took the loss. The Phillies offence, which ranks near the bottom of the NL in several categories, managed just seven hits. They lost their fourth straight and seventh of eight. "Its really been the problem weve had the last three games, stranding guys out there," Philadelphia manager Ryne Sandberg said. "And it came up big tonight." Pence broke a scoreless tie with a softly hit blooper down the right-field line off Papelbon on a full count with two outs. "Pence is the guy you want up there," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. "He has the knack of putting the ball in the right place. . Pence is amazing. He has so much energy and hes relentless. Were lucky to have him." Whether the last two games have an effect on Papelbons trade prospects remain to be seen. The Philadelphia closer recently has been outspoken about his interest in moving to a contender. "Whatever happens happens," Papelbon said. "I have no control over it." He dismissed the notion that his value would be diminished by his last two outings. "If you were to put the entire season into two games, it would be pretty dumb," he said. Marlon Byrd drove in Philadelphias run in the ninth off Santiago Casilla, who converted his seventh save in 10 chances. The ggame was delayed for 59 minutes by a thunderstorm.dddddddddddd Following resumption in the top of the fourth, the game was played in a persistent drizzle that got heavy at times until the rain finally stopped for good in the eighth inning. Burnett pitched eight scoreless innings, striking out six, walking four and allowing four hits, in a performance that had to have impressed the scouts seated behind home plate. The right-hander has been a rumoured acquisition for contending clubs as the Phillies are looking to sell at the trade deadline to get younger. Bumgarner and Burnett allowed the relievers to rest following Tuesdays 5-hour, 46-minute marathon in which 16 pitchers were used in the Giants 9-6, 14-inning victory. "What a job he did," Bochy said of Bumgarner. "He saved our skin tonight. He gave us everything we needed and more. And Burnett too. They were both locked in." Some small puddles formed on the left side of the infield, but second base umpire Bill Miller never halted the game again after the first stoppage. Pence was involved in a strange play in the eighth. After leading off with a walk, he took off for second but overslid the bag. He popped up and rather than try to go back to second, he darted toward third as shortstop Jimmy Rollins chased him in a scene reminiscent of tag on the school yard. About halfway to third, Rollins tossed to third baseman Andres Blanco who applied the tag for an unusual 2-6-5 caught stealing. It was the second caught stealing in as many attempts for the Giants, as Ehire Adrianza overslid the bag in the sixth and was tagged out by Chase Utley. NOTES: Burnett moved to 48th all-time in strikeouts, passing Dwight Gooden, with a first-inning fanning of Tyler Colvin. ... Philadelphia activated Ruiz (concussion) from the DL. Ruiz had been out since June 26. To make room for Ruiz, the Phillies sent C Cameron Rupp to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Philadelphia also recalled RHP Phillippe Aumont from Lehigh Valley and designated RHP Jeff Manship for assignment. ... The teams conclude the four-game series on Thursday with Phillies LHP Cole Hamels (4-5, 2.83) facing RHP Tim Hudson (8-6, 2.78). ' ' 'ey all know us. We sell to TV channels and they all know us.With an annual turnover of $700 million, MP & Silva ranks third in the sports media rights business behind New York-based IMG and Switzerland-based Infront. With 100 people in 20 offices dotted around the globe, MP & Silvas profits this year will be about $90 million.Last year, the company set up its tax base in Luxembourg. The first nine years we had 20 different companies. It was a nightmare. Then some of the leagues asked for consolidated balances. So we created a holding company, Silva said. Its super-transparent.Silva specializes in selling clients products like Serie A that they hadnt intended to buy.For example, when Silva throws Serie A into a package deal for a client in, say, Vietnam, that already includes the Premier League, the French Open, 10 smaller tennis tournaments and the NBA, the TV station is more inclined to take it.Then they can build a programming schedule, Silva said. The channels like to deal with one company that provides so much content. In the insular world of Italian football, however, Silvas connections to Infront have been a source of concern. The MP in MP & Silva stands for Media Partners, the Milan-based agency led by Marco Bogarelli that was folded into Infront, the company controlled by Philippe Blatter — the nephew of FIFA president Sepp Blatter — in 2006.Bogarelli and Silva each got their starts with Milan Channel and Infront advised Serie A in its bidding process for foreign rights, which MP & Silva was awarded over two significantly lower offers from IMG and B4 Capital. The leagues 20 presidents selected MP & Silva unanimously. In Italy its very transparent because its an auction, and whoever makes the best bid wins. There is no negotiation. It doesnt matter if Im friends with Marco Bogarelli, Silva said. We won with a 30 per cent margin so we probably overbid. What matters, Silva says, is improving the product, and thats an area where Serie A needs help.___Andrew Dampf can be followed at www.twitter.com/asdampf Stitched NHL Jerseys . The Raptors head to Milwaukee Monday night and will try to win for just the third time in 10 games while facing a Bucks team that can add a reserve point guard to a list of sidelined players. The Raptors (26-14) have dropped seven of nine, including two straight after Sundays 95-93 home loss to New Orleans. Toronto lost for the first time this season when allowing fewer than 100 points after winning its first 15 such games. The consecutive losses have included a 13-of-50 mark from 3-point range and an average of 37.0 first-half points. Were playing in mud right now, said Raptors coach Dwane Casey, whose team has dropped three straight on the road as it embarks on a three-game trip. DeMar DeRozan scored a team-high 22 points, while Amir Johnson had 14 and 10 rebounds. DeRozan had been particularly strong in his first two games back from a torn abductor, averaging 22.5 points on 62.5 percent shooting, but he was 7 for 18 against the Pelicans. Terrence Ross was limited to a season-low 11 minutes and was replaced in the starting lineup in the second half by Greivis Vasquez. Ross was held scoreless for the first time this season and is shooting 33.1 percent in the last 12 contests. Weve just got to be there for him the best way we can, help lift him, just like we do everybody else, DeRozan told the teams official website. Weve all been there, playing in this league, everybodys been there in somme type of way.ddddddddddddWeve just got to help him out the best way we can, and get him back on his feet. Once he gets rolling, its going to be something he definitely needed when he looks back at it. The season series against Milwaukee started much better with a 124-82 home win on Nov. 21 to extend the Raptors winning streak in the series to five after 10 consecutive losses. Kyle Lowry had 20 points and is averaging 22.3 on 52.4 percent in his last three games against the Bucks. DeRozan, though, had one of his worst games of the season, scoring 7 points on 1-of-8 shooting. The Bucks (21-19) wont have Kendall Marshall after learning he suffered a torn ACL in Thursdays 95-79 win over New York in London and will miss the rest of the season. Well play the 11 that we have and well go from there, coach Jason Kidd said. Kendall brought a lot to the table for us, being able to anchor that second group, keep the ball moving and post up, too. The team is already operating without rookie Jabari Parker - out for the season with the same injury - and center Larry Sanders. Milwaukee learned Friday that Sanders, who hasnt played in th
